It was raining outside, and my hair stood out in all sorts of messy curls. The workday had been a whirlwind of chaos and stress, and even the contract fell out of my bag and got soaked in a puddle. That’s why, when my friend called and suggested we relax by attending a beach-themed karaoke party at Mafia Karaoke, I didn’t hesitate for a second. What could possibly be better than spending the evening before the weekend in our favorite hangout? Just the name of the party brought pleasant associations to mind: a new swimsuit, a cold cocktail, and a bright umbrella by the glass… Regulars had long come to love the events held at Mafia Karaoke, which seemed to take place with remarkable frequency this season. It was already half past twelve at night when we arrived. The gray city and damp air were left behind as we entered the cozy atmosphere of the Mafia Karaoke club. We sat at a table and watched the fun already getting under way. It looked like we weren’t going to be bored at all—two lively girls were already singing heartily, bringing smiles to everyone around them. Despite the late hour, most tables were still empty; people hadn’t started gathering yet, so it was the host of the evening who created the festive atmosphere. Standing by the colorful inflatable pool, he enthusiastically invited guests to participate in an “extreme fishing” game. After the first cocktail, things got much better. I looked around and noticed that all the tables were now occupied. The guests’ eyes sparkled brighter, their smiles grew wider, and songs were ordered one after another. There was a general atmosphere of friendship and fun—guests applauded each other during performances and joined in enthusiastically. It was a pleasant surprise to meet old friends who had also come to relax after a long work week. In fact, some young people attended Mafia Karaoke for the first time that day, but by the end of the evening, they were already determined to return soon, saying it was “a place they really wanted to visit again.” Isn’t that the definition of a successful party? As the saying goes, it’s not the place that makes a person shine, but the person who makes the place special. Two amazing girls, Kristina and Katya, sang several songs in a row, keeping the atmosphere lively until dawn. Their beautiful, clear voices filled the air and lifted everyone’s mood even more. I learned from them that they had also attended a karaoke party for the first time, but after that evening, they were sure to come here much more often. It seems that the number of people who enjoy beach-themed parties is increasing day by day… With numerous competitions, favorite songs sung until dawn, an unusual dress code that includes slippers and swimsuits, and cocktails enjoyed in the shade of chaises, this summer has become truly special for us. In the hustle and bustle of the big city, we’ve found our little corner of beach-inspired fun.
