Evangelical Lutheran German church, Velikodolinsky

The Evangelical Lutheran church was built in 1848 in the present settlement of Velikodolinsky. The village owes its unusual history to the German community, which was founded here since 1804 (then the name of the Großlibenthal area). Moved the German colonists had evangelical-Lutheran views in religion, soon decided to build a large temple for their worship.

The resulting structure had a delightful architecture with a high bell tower, internal arches, two tiers for choral singing, beautiful paintings and an iconostasis. The octagonal construction of the columns was struck by the imagination, and the bell tower was the tallest structure in the entire Grosslibenthal.

After all the revolutions, world wars and the Soviet period, the church was transferred to the local patriarchate. In 1993, it was decided to restore, restoring after several decades of use not for its intended purpose. As a result, the architecture of the legendary church was completely changed, as well as its interior decoration and all the impressive beauty of the exterior.
