Baley Palace

One of the few attractions of the small village of Tuligolovo in the Lviv region is the Baley Manor-house. Today the gloomy and neglected building serves as a tuberculosis dispensary. But only 100 years ago in the palace a completely different life was boiling.

At the beginning of the 19th century, the names of the houses were given by the family name of the families living in them. The estate of Balei was no exception.

In 1899 the family of the Galician landowner Balla moved to Tuligolovo and bought the castle from the former owners. External appearance and interior decoration did not suit the new owner. The next few years were marked by the erection of a new palace.

According to historical facts, the project of the manor in the style of neo-renaissance was led by Lviv architect V. Galitsky. But there is a legend that the famous creators of the Odessa Opera F. Felner and G. Helmer worked on the facade of the building.

Curiously, the interior of the estate is not inferior to the luxury of the facade. To this day, preserved sculptures, stucco, once adorned the castle.

Despite the nationalization of the estate in the early 20th century, the Baley Palace almost completely preserved its interior decoration. Everyone can enjoy it today. When visiting the estate it is worth remembering that there are patients with an open form of tuberculosis. This requires additional protection and extreme caution.

But even without visiting the mansion, you can feel the atmosphere of the 19th century, strolling through the park around the residence.
