At the beginning of its existence the city was a large wooden castle, surrounded by a wide pond and a rampart. In the 16thcentury the castle became the residence of the Polish prince Janusz Zbarazsky. The successful geographic location of Dashev, on the road from Lipovets to Uman, contributed to the development of industry and trade in the city. Two ironworks, a sugar mill, a stone mill, which has survived to this day, were built here.At the end of the 18thcentury, the city became the property of the Polish tycoon Pototsky, who in 1850-1987 erected a chic palace in the township, with a stable and various outbuildings.One of the most famous local attractions is the St. Michael Church, which was erected in 1764. It is located in the old district of Dashev and is considered a vivid example of the Podolsk school of architecture. This five-domed temple is made in a bright blue color. At the beginning of the 19thcentury, very low rooms of rectangular shape were attached to the church. The walls were decorated with a beautiful painting, which belonged to the brush of Vinnytsia artists. <o:p></o:p>Come to the place Dashev, and you will not only enjoy the beauty of Ukrainian nature, but also feel the spirit of the past centuries.
