The history of the Swallow's Nest is quite rich and interesting. At the end of the 19th century, the Russian retired general planned to build a wooden cottage-dacha on the very edge of Aurora rock. Although at that time the structure did not resemble the current species, the name of Swallow's Nest ideally characterized it. It passed from hand to hand, and, in 1912, according to the project of architect Leonid Sherwood and under the leadership of the German owner baron von Stengel, the Crimean coast acquired its treasure. Rumor has it that the castle was built as a baron's gift for his beloved. Later the building was acquired by the merchant Shalaputin, having opened a restaurant there.
