Historical and Art Museum (Museum, 1955).

The gallery was created in 1955 by the village teacher A. Lunev as a branch of the school museum. The basis of the exposition was the paintings acquired by Lunev on the post-war Kharkov flea market, as well as the Kharkov artists donated to him. Subsequently, the collection was replenished with canvases that were transferred to the rural gallery by many museums of the USSR. At the insistence of Lunev, a unique exposition was placed in the former palace of Count Podgorichani, in which the office of the sugar factory was located before. Today the collection of the Parkhome Museum includes about 6 thousand exhibits: paintings by Rembrandt, Gauguin, Van Dyck, Benoit, Manet, Bryullov, Shishkin, Aivazovsky, Levitan, Repin, Vasnetsov, Roerich, Malevich, Shevchenko's drawings, posters of Mayakovsky, etc. The pearl of the collection - 4 works of P. Picasso, donated to the museum by I. Ehrenburg, incl. the famous drawing "Pigeon of the World", which became the emblem of the anti-war movement.
