Irish Castle. Interiors
In the Irish castle, where we had a rest, the ground floor is uninhabited, and the rest are occupied by 8 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, where 16 people can comfortably live.

Another 14 people can stay in cottages 50 meters from the castle. This is a residential family castle (a private residence, not a hotel), and here the museum environment is adjacent to the living rooms of the sons of the hosts, who decorate their rooms with semi-nude photos of former girlfriends. Depending on the season, the castle serves from 10 to 15 people. Some live in the premises of the castle, but most of them come to the castle to work. Under the cut is what is hidden behind the thick walls of the castle:

Have you ever wondered what a door bell looks like in a castle? It was an old, deeply failing button with a pleasant melodic ringing

In the main hall of the guests meets a fireplace with black Moors on the sides. During the weddings and celebrations, members of the Riverdance group dance here:

In this living room they taste whiskey or communicate with each other by the fireplace:

There are a lot of secret doors in the castle. Look closely and you will see a door in the wall:

All loose surfaces in the castle are filled with photographs, statuettes, vases, plates, caskets and other things. The sensations of emptiness here do not exactly arise:

The main reception hall. During the weddings from here take out all the furniture and arrange tables:

Otherwise, guests can accidentally spoil truly unique things in the heat of celebration. For example, these white sofas of the 17th century. I still did not dare to sit there. The sensation was unusual. I could see such things and furniture only in museums behind the protective tape and under the watchful eye of the watchman, and here they calmly stand in the "apartment", they can sit, lie down, read the book & hellip;

Dining room for formal receptions. There were many famous people sitting at this table:

According to the rules of etiquette for dinner, the husband can not sit next to his wife, so we sat on different sides of the table. This is done so that the spouses are not addicted to chatter with each other, but communicate with other guests:

The charming mistress of the castle herself prepared and served us dinner:

I chose a tender lamb with mint sauce, a young potato from a local vegetable garden and stewed tomatoes:

We were served dessert with bananas baked with brandy and cream:

On the second floor leads a huge spiral staircase:

Hall of the second floor:

There are a lot of books in the castle. Oksana Flanagan, the head of Your Royal Wedding, organizing weddings here, recently began to create a library for Russian-speaking guests. In one of the closets I found two books by Larisa Teplyakova:

I used to dream about such a telescope on my desktop:

Room of the younger son of the owners of the castle. On the walls are photographs of his previous girls. Some very frank:

Next to the bed is a hot-water bottle. Heating a huge castle is very expensive, so not all rooms are always warm. It seems to me that this hot-water bottle is a very nice touch to the portrait of the whole castle and its owners:

The castle is all at home. If you prefer the stiffness of the Ritz, then this castle will clearly not be for you. Here everything looks like an ordinary house of English aristocrats, with their way of life and interests: horse riding, hunting, art, cycling:

Senior Son's Room:

Our room, where political leaders and Hollywood celebrities stayed before us:

When we just entered the room, I thought: "And where is the bathroom?" She was behind one more secret door:

View from the window of the bath to the largest private lake in Europe:

I really liked this window with a blue graphite inside:

This photo clearly shows the thickness of the walls of the castle. Wi-Fi signal through them almost does not break, and the owners had to install repeaters in almost every room:

This round room occupies the entire second floor of one of the towers:

Egyptian bathroom:

This room is called Throne room because of a toilet similar to the throne (next photo):

And this is the most original toilet that I have ever seen. The staircase leads to the attic, which has long been overgrown with cobwebs and is not used. Right in her made a toilet for rooms on the very top of a narrow tower:

Stairway to the roof:

The scenic view from the roof of the castle looks different depending on the weather:
