An event of this caliber is being held for the first time not only in Kharkov, but also in Ukraine as a whole! The main purpose of this competition is to break stereotypes regarding IT professionals and demonstrate that an increasing number of intelligent and talented women are actively participating in and contributing to the development of IT technologies in Ukraine.

The competition will allow these girls to demonstrate their ability to combine high professional knowledge and skills with personal physical excellence and charm. The theme of the competition, “The Female Face of IT,” reflects the core idea that its organizers have in mind.

Ten girls are participating in the competition—some work for IT companies, while others are employed in IT departments of various enterprises. Each of them possesses a “unique talent”: singing, playing musical instruments, dancing skills, painting, or a passion for sports.

We expect more than 200 guests and spectators to attend. The judging panel consists of company executives, designers, as well as the competition’s founders and sponsors. A special guest at the event is Yuliana Yaman Jewelers Fashion, a designer from Istanbul, Turkey.

Performances will be evaluated based on specially developed criteria that assess the participants’ professional skills and appearance.

The “Miss IT Kharkov 2010” competition is set to become one of the most spectacular events of the year. The contestants will showcase their creativity in various challenges and also demonstrate their charm during a gala dress show.

The girls will compete for the title of “Miss IT Kharkov 2010” as well as in seven other categories. Of course, there will also be a special award for the Miss Public’s Choice!

The organizers are confident in the success of this competition and hope it will become an annual tradition.
