Church of St. Martin

One of the attractions of Mukachevo is the cathedral of St. Martin. The cathedral bearing the name of one of the most respected saints, the patron saint of the city, now belongs to the Roman Catholic Church.

The building was erected in 1904in place of the old 14th century temple. According to the architect's plan, he was executed in the style of romantic neo-Gothic. Visitors can admire the ancient body, which has 16 registers.

All that is left of the medieval church is the ancient chapel of St. Joseph, which is next to the temple. The building, built in the Gothic style, dates back to the 14th century, and the painting of the masters of the 15th century remained in the chapel.
