Sovnaarkomovskaia, 11. From 1874 to 1911, a courtyard complex along with its associated buildings belonged to the family of Kasperov, a senior court advisor, and his heirs. In 1912, the industrialist I.E. Ignatishchev, who owned a large brewery in Ivanovka, had a two-and-a-half-story stone building constructed according to the design by architect A.N. Beketov. The building is richly decorated with reliefs that adorn the entire facade and two additional decorative elements. A sculptural group located at the entrance was destroyed in the late 1980s. From 1922 to 1928, the Council of People’s Commissars of Ukraine operated out of this building. Later, the facility was used by the Ukrgipromez organization for a short period of time. Subsequently, the building was donated to the T.G. Shevchenko Institute (now the T.G. Shevchenko Museum in Kiev). In the 1930s, some rooms were converted into classrooms for use by a special program for exceptionally talented students affiliated with the Kharkov Conservatory; this program later evolved into a specialized music school in 1943. Today, an art museum is located in this building. vk.cc/1x86Pf
