The corner of Sovnarkoomovskaya Street and Chernyshevsky Street, 18.
The land, along with some small structures on it, belonged no later than 1873 and until 1894 to Ivan Grigoryevich Kasperov, a nobleman and court counselor. It was then that the renowned educator Kristina Danilovna Alchevskaya purchased this property in her own name—and since the school did not yet have its own legal entity at that time—using funds allocated for the school’s purposes that she bought it from V.I. Kasperov for the establishment of a private women’s school there. In 1896, according to a free-of-charge design provided by architect A.N. Beketov, a special building was constructed for this school. Today, this location houses an exhibition hall of the art museum, and previously it housed the No. 10 Evening School for Working Youth.
