In the center of the historic city of Lviv on the Market Square is the Black Stone. This is one of the most valuable and beautiful structures of the square. It's hard not to notice. It is located at number 4. Kamenitsa is built, adhering to the rule of three windows, when on the facade of their house there should not be more than three. This gave the right to equal opportunities, because the first floor windows were used for trade, workshop or advertising. Rust facade of the Kamenets darkened with time, so it got its name. Rust is also called diamond, although it is laid out of limestone blocks. Kamenitsa was built in 1588-1589 by the Italian architect Peter Barbon and Pavel Roman. Its decoration really impresses with its richness - ornamental carving, decorative framing and rustic were used in exterior decoration. In addition, the facade of the building is decorated with sculptures of the Mother of God, St. Martin and the Apostles, which was typical of the Renaissance. In front of the entrance to the stone there is a shop, on which it is quite inconvenient to sit, but it was appointed for the watchman, and was specially made so that he did not fall asleep. Now in the building of the stone is a historical museum.
