Kharkiv Historical Museum is one of the largest in Ukraine. At the moment he has 4 departments: feudalism, capitalism, the primitive community and the Soviet era. Here are rare documents and photographs, samples of firearms and cold steel of foreign and domestic origin, various awards of military and pre-war time, household items of veterans and residents of Kharkov, posters and flags of the war period.

What can you see in the Kharkov Historical Museum

On the basis of CHIM, there are interesting scientific conferences, themed evenings, various classes on history with elements of the excursion. Passing through the halls of the museum, one can feel the atmosphere of the corresponding exhibits of the times. Monuments of the Saltovo catacomb cemetery transmit the spirit of the 7th-10th centuries, a set of things from the Donetsk fortress are mentally transferred to the 11th-12th centuries. Energy remains even despite the fact that over a whole year there are more than 200 thousand visitors.

This huge museum is located in the historical center of the city. Works daily (except Mondays) from 9:30 to 17:00.
